G Adventures author and producer Michael Schur will not be updating his Wikipedia page in light of a copyright violation, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.
Schur’s page, which contains the story “The Adventures of G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” has been removed from the website.
Schuarts Wiki page was removed in early December due to a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
The act forbids websites from allowing content or other material to be shared, distributed or modified without the express permission of the copyright holder.
The story is set to be adapted into a live-action TV series by The CW, with Schur and The CW producing.
SchUR has a history of breaking Wikipedia rules, including for breaking a similar rule for the first three installments of the popular video game series, The Witcher.
In April 2017, the author was suspended from Wikipedia for two years for violating the rule.
The first episode of The Witcher 2 was published in March 2018 and Schur has written an article for the site in response to the situation.
In the article, Schur writes that he is “very disappointed with the decision” made by Wikipedia.
Schurs article on the site reads:”This is a very unfortunate situation.
I was not aware that my articles were being removed for violating copyright.
I am very disappointed with Wikipedia’s decision.
In a blog post, they announced that they were banning me from Wikipedia.
As a creator and creator of a series of video games, it is unacceptable for them to ban me for breaking their rules and for making a very public statement about what their intentions were.”
Schur has also been a frequent contributor to the site, writing on the subject of gaming, and writing about the series.
In addition to The Witcher, Schumers previous work includes the Halo franchise and Halo Wars.
Schur’s latest project, a live action TV series based on his novel, G Adventures, has been in development for a few years now.
