Adventure bike brand Marceline has a new addition to its lineup: a bike that’s a little bit more serious.
The Marcelle Adventure, the company’s latest foray into the outdoors, is a custom-built, “adventure” ride designed to be ridden by serious adventurers, with the ultimate goal of getting the rider “from zero to 100 miles an hour in about seven minutes.”
The company has already sold more than 6,000 of the Adventure, and the company says it expects the bike to sell out by the end of June.
The Adventure has a range of performance options including a full carbon frame, carbon fork, a carbon front brake and a carbon handlebar.
Marceli says the Adventure can go from zero to 50 mph in just about six minutes and has a top speed of 160 mph.
The company’s Adventure is one of a growing number of custom-made bikes designed to tackle tough challenges in the outdoors.
Last year, the brand unveiled the Adventure Hauler, a customized custom-tailored model that is built to carry a load of up to 4,000 pounds.
And in 2013, Marcelinne released the Adventure Elite, a custom bike designed to carry up to 5,000 lbs.
While the Marcelles Adventure is not a “high-end” model, it does feature a carbon fork and a lightweight, lightweight carbon frame.
The handlebar is a carbon fiber-titanium one with a removable, removable stem.
And the Adventure is equipped with an electronic suspension that has a “dynamic rebound control,” meaning it has a dynamic spring rate that responds to the rider’s weight.
The Adventure Elite has an additional feature called “cassette” mode that lets riders adjust the stiffness of the frame by simply tapping the handlebar buttons.
It can also be programmed to adjust the bike’s power and handling when the rider pushes the buttons, with different modes depending on the rider.
The company says the ride has been ridden by more than 5,200 people and can take up to eight hours to complete.
Marceli’s new Adventure comes with a carbon-fiber top and stem and carbon-composite bottom bracket, and it is powered by a Shimano Di2 drivetrain.
The bike weighs in at a respectable 1,500 pounds.
The firm says the Marcelle Adventure is a “premium custom-build” model and comes with an 18-month warranty.
The price is $1,000 and includes a warranty.
