Digimon Adventure Park has opened in the United States with its theme park opening in New York City on March 31.
The first two Adventure Zones are slated to open in the U.S. later this year.
The park is the first in a planned wave of “Adventure Zones” to debut in the New York area.
The Adventure Zone, located at 1 World Trade Center in Manhattan, is expected to open by the end of the year.
It will feature “animated” rides and games including an adventure park-themed ride called the Digi-Stunner, and a “dive” ride that involves underwater action.
“We’re extremely excited to launch the first of a planned series of Adventure Zoning experiences in the NYC area, and the second in a wave of new Adventure Zonal experiences across the country,” said Jim Whitehead, senior vice president of development for Adventure Zone.
“The New York Adventure Zone will feature a wide range of interactive experiences including interactive experiences with a wide variety of animals, including crocodiles, dolphins, otters and more.”
The park will open on a weekday, from March 31, 2017 through March 31 of this year, and is expected at least five days a week.
The parks’ opening is the largest to date, and has attracted the interest of movie stars, and several celebrities have been involved with the park, including Will Ferrell, Jason Bateman and Kate Winslet.
It has also drawn attention from other companies, including Disney, who are bringing the park to the United Kingdom.
